Laboratory Water Treatment Solutions
Laboratories rely on pristine water to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and safety of experiments and analyses. That’s why Hydrotrue offers specialized water treatment solutions designed to meet the unique needs of laboratories.
Reliable Water Solutions for Critical Lab Operations
Accuracy and Reliability: Even minor impurities in water can have a significant impact on experimental results. Hydrotrue’s water treatment technologies, including reverse osmosis, deionization, and filtration, remove impurities to ensure the highest level of accuracy and reliability in your lab’s work.
Equipment Protection: Laboratory equipment is sensitive and often expensive. Impurities in untreated water can lead to corrosion, scaling, and other damage, compromising equipment performance and longevity. Hydrotrue’s water treatment solutions protect your investment and ensure your equipment operates at peak efficiency.
Safety and Compliance: Contaminated water poses risks to both laboratory personnel and the integrity of research. Hydrotrue’s purification processes eliminate harmful substances, ensuring the safety of experiments and analyses while also helping laboratories maintain regulatory compliance.
Consistency and Reproducibility: Consistent water quality is essential for reproducible results in scientific research. Hydrotrue’s water treatment solutions provide a reliable source of purified water, allowing laboratories to achieve consistent outcomes and advance scientific knowledge with confidence.
Cross-contamination Prevention: In a laboratory setting, the risk of cross-contamination is a significant concern. Hydrotrue’s water treatment technologies remove impurities that could introduce contaminants into samples, helping laboratories maintain strict control over experimental conditions and ensure the integrity of their work.
Hydrotrue Solutions for Laboratories
Filtration Systems
Point-of-use filtration removes suspended solids from water, protecting sensitive lab equipment and instruments while extending their lifespan and ensuring consistent performance.
Reverse Osmosis
Reverse osmosis systems produce high-purity water essential for laboratory applications and significantly reduce operating costs by lowering total dissolved solids (TDS) before deionization.

Your Questions, Answered
Switching to an on-site RO system combined with DI production can reduce reliance on exchangeable bottles, lowering operating costs and enhancing control over water purity. In some applications, RO permeate, along with a disinfection strategy, can meet water requirements without deionization.
An RO system reduces the load on DI resin by removing a significant amount of dissolved solids beforehand, thus prolonging resin life and reducing the frequency and costs of DI bottle exchanges.
RO systems typically have a recovery rate of 50-75%, depending on system design, feed temperature and feed water quality. Optimizing these parameters can maximize recovery rates. Additionally, pretreatment can be utilized to drive the recovery even higher.
During periods of non-use, it is essential to regularly flush water treatment systems to prevent bacterial growth and maintain system cleanliness and water quality. Hydrotrue’s RO systems have an “inactivity flush” that does this automatically based on user time selection.
While RO systems significantly reduce water impurities, they do not produce DI water alone. A DI system is needed post-RO to remove remaining ions and achieve the high purity required for most laboratory standards.
